No child should be denied the right to education
There are currently more than 30,000 refugee children in Malaysia. They have no right to attend, not only government schools, but also any private educational institution. Currently only about 5,000 (less than 17%) refugee children have access to any form of schooling – usually in non-formal community learning centres.
AMURT AMURTEL Malaysia believes that no child should be denied the right to education. Thus support for refugee children through educational empowerment is an important part of our ‘Children for a Better World’ Education Program.
