Horn of Africa Drought Disaster Reponse
In the Samburo Community Assistance Project, AMURT’s initial response focused on the distribution of emergency supplementary food supplies to vulnerable groups like mothers and young children, and providing free medical care to all. In the 2nd phase, AMURT intends to reduce the effects of future droughts by protecting & enhancing water sources as well as supporting new innovative livelihood schemes.

The Home-Based Care programs helps those living with AIDS or HIV, while the Orphans & Vulnerable Children and Youth programs equip the young generation with the knowledge and tools to succeed.
